#402 Letter

- An agreement is reached between the Chorai, Tsubeppa, and Wobble forces.
Senritsu and Kachou make a guess as to the cause of Fugetsu's poor health.
- They try to assassinate Luzurus as their target.
- Fugetsu goes around each prince's room and fulfills the prerequisites for the Magical Worm.
At the same time, he plans to confuse the princes with fake letters from Kachou.

Room 1013: Third Prince Chorai's Room

Chourai receives a report from his private soldier, Tenfutori.

The 14th prince, Wobble (actually Kurapika), seems to want to form an alliance between Chouri, Tsubeppa, and Wobble.

Tenfutori receives a coin (spit out by the guardian spirit beast) from Chourai as a reward. Chourai wonders about the power of this coin, but he doesn't know anything yet.

Room 1005: The 5th Prince Tsubeppa's Room

Tsubeppa receives a report from private soldier Maor about a proposed peace agreement with Kurapika.

He believes that the alliance between the three parties, including Chourai, is a dream come true. The 14th prince, Wobble, will not be a fighting force, but he will be able to take Kurapika in.
The third prince, Chourai, hopes that he can be used as a shield against Benjamin.

At that moment, Tsubeppa's guardian spirit appears.

Rihan, a private soldier of the First Prince Benjamin, is in the same room and is watching this. He believes that the guardian spirit beast may be a "conditional type" because it appeared immediately after the three-way peace treaty between Tsubeppa, Kurapika, and Chorai was concluded.

Following Sale Sale, Rihan wants to use his Nen ability "Predator" to eliminate the guardian beasts that get in the way of assassinating Tsubeppa. To do this, he needs to analyze the abilities of Tsubeppa's guardian beasts on his own.

Balsamilco

Benjamin's private soldier, Balsamico, prepares the assassination tools.

The assassination tool is a sort of infected weapon hidden in his boots, which seems to be released by pressing a button on his hand.

First, they tested it with harmless water or something, then they placed the actual chemical they would use in the boots. This chemical, which leaves no trace and is highly lethal, was manufactured by the military to which Balsamirco (or, more accurately, Benjamin) belonged, and was a flawed and failed weapon.
However, he is thought to be rather useful for assassinations in the battle for the throne.

The target of the assassination is the ninth prince, Halkenburg.

Halkenburg has decided to take the throne in order to abolish the monarchy. Benjamin's faction considers Halkenburg, who has a very strong influence in cooperation with his private soldiers, to be their greatest threat at present.

Room 1004: Fourth Prince Zedrinich's room

Zedrinich is training in his ultimate training with his private soldier Sarkov by his side.
Despite playing games and running on a treadmill at the same time, he masters Nen at a speed far surpassing that of Salkov.
It is clear that Zedrinich's talent is extraordinary.

Sarkov's monologue, "Even I was born with the ability to do Zetsu...", suggests the possibility that Beyond is "Netero's biological son, sent to each prince," as hinted at in #401.

Is Sarkov one of Beyond Netero's biological children?

Judicial Bureau Hearing Room

Senritsu and the 10th prince Kacho (his guardian spirit beast) are looking at a photo showing the back of the 11th prince Fugetsu. Kaiser, the deputy director of the Justice Bureau, is also with them.

Kaiser makes no secret of his feelings for Senritsu and offers to cooperate fully with him, but Senritsu suspects that the overly calm deputy chief is being manipulated.
Kachou died after being hit by the curse of the succession war when he failed to escape from the BW. Now, the guardian spirit beast takes the form of Kachou and protects Fugetsu.
What appears to be an injection mark can be seen around Fugetsu's right shoulder blade.

Senritsu believes that another magician set some kind of trap and Fugetsu fell into it.
Judging from Fugetsu's condition, Kachou imagines that it is some kind of drug that gives a sense of effectiveness.

It seems that the drug use of the seventh prince, Luzurus, is somewhat known, and Kachou is suspicious of Luzurus in this regard.

Luzurus is the one closest to the keyword "drugs." He backs the Mafia and has drug-related conversations with Bashou. In addition, Luzurus' guardian spirit beast is "a creature that sets traps and manipulates its targets by promising to fulfill their desires."

In order to save Fugetsu, the three come up with a plan to assassinate Luzurus. They plan to use the escape pot that Kachou Fugetsu used when he failed to escape, and eliminate Luzurus with the curse of the battle for the throne.

Fugetsu's Visit

Fugetsu visits each prince's room to fulfill the conditions for activating the magical worm's power. The pretext is to personally deliver the letter left behind by Kacho to the prince.

Of course, this letter was fake, created by the Deputy Director of the Justice Bureau in consultation with Senritsu Kachou based on "top-secret information about each prince held by the Justice Bureau."

Fugetsu's Magical Worm can only connect tunnels to places you've been to before.

First, let's go to the room of the first prince, Benjamin.

Benjamin, who can see the mind, can see the low-level evil spirit that is possessing Fugetsu. Benjamin is trying to kill all the princes, but he also shows a pained expression when he sees the state of his half-sister Fugetsu.

The deputy director hints that Benjamin intends to implement special martial law and assassinate each prince.

Next, head to the room of the 5th Prince, Tsubeppa.

Fugetsu hands over the letter. Some kind of conversation is taking place, but the content is unclear. Rihan watches.

Next, we went to the room of the 6th Prince, Tyson.

Fugetsu also hands Tyson a letter. Tyson also looks sad and sympathetic towards Fugetsu.

Afterwards, we went to the room of our favorite, the 7th Prince, Luzurus.

Fugetsu hands over the letter to Luzurus. Luzurus's guard, Basho, is also watching and has likely noticed a low-level evil spirit possessing Fugetsu.

The letter to Lusurus appears to be an exposé of the misdeeds of the fourth prince, Zedrinich. Given Kachou's character, Lusurus feels something is off and decides to wait and see on the matter.

In the hallway

The Deputy Director of the Justice Bureau suggests to Fugetsu that they could stop now that they have successfully reached Luzurus' room, citing his health as an excuse.

Basho appears and hands Fugetsu a charm he has made using his haiku ability.
It seems to be able to exorcise low-level spirits, dispersing them. Fugetsu's lifespan is also slightly extended.

The deputy chief bows deeply.

Again, the Justice Bureau hearing room

After visiting each prince, the three hold another strategy meeting.

The groundwork for the assassination plan has been laid, so they intend to carry it out as planned. It looks like they will carry it out once Fugetsu, who is currently resting, wakes up.

The assassination plot:
Fugetsu uses a magical worm to connect the escape pod to Luzurus' room → Senritsu plays music to make everyone lose consciousness → Deputy Chief of the Justice Bureau Kaiser, wearing earplugs, carries Luzurus to the escape pod → Luzurus escapes from the BW and dies from the curse of the succession war like Kachou.

The letter has also been handed over to Kurapika, the 14th prince's bodyguard, and Senritsu is looking forward to the plan Kurapika will come up with.
